2026 under the sign of deep concentration...

How has 2026 started for you? What values and goals guide you? For me, 2026 opens with a return to the essentials: regular, calm, deep, and uninterrupted work. I cherish those moments when I manage to immerse myself completely in a demanding subject until I feel something "click."
Practically speaking, cultivating this deep focus means means spending less time on social media, answering emails at set times, and protecting dedicated blocks of work each day, long enough to produce in-depth analyses and generate original ideas. I've also established a ritual: starting at a set time, with a clear objective, so that concentration becomes less of an effort and more of an habit.
This start of the year also comes with a return to the fundamentals of my expertise. I'm fortunate to be teaching International Organizations Law at the University of Sherbrooke and Public International Law at the University of Quebec in Outaouais this winter. It is a real pleasure to dive back into these subjects, and a great source of pride to share them, especially given the intensity of current events.
Wishing you, in 2026, days filled with meaning and time for what truly matters to you.
