I dedicate it to all those who cringed at the title of my thesis: Seed Security Law. A Contribution to the Study of Internormativity in the Sahel.

A little history 🌾

For a long time, the only solution to hunger was to send cereals to disaster victims. It was only towards the end of the 19th century that it was considered that the basis of food aid should be broadened to include other types of food, as well as seeds.

Seed security then becomes the analytical framework used by donors, humanitarian agencies and other stakeholders to optimize seed assistance provided in areas affected by natural disasters, conflict or insecurity.
